Kunal Suri Represents RAASCEMAN in Brussels

Published Categorized as Uncategorized

Last week was a big moment for the European manufacturing industry, and the RAASCEMAN project was at the heart of the conversation. Dr. Kunal Suri, Computer Scientist from our project partner CEA, actively represented the project at two high-profile events in Brussels, contributing to critical dialogues shaping the future of manufacturing in Europe.

The week began with the Manufacturing Partnership Days 2025, an event organized by the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA). This gathering brought together leaders from the European Commission, industry, and the R&I community to define priorities for the next wave of innovation, from AI-driven manufacturing to circularity and sustainability. Our presence was crucial for aligning the RAASCEMAN project’s objectives with these future roadmaps and highlighted a significant opportunity for our project to take initiative in fostering synergy and knowledge exchange.

Kunal’s week continued with the MASTT2040 workshop on European resilience, circularity, and industrial transformation, organized by Sirris. Here, he was given the opportunity to moderate and chair a panel session with representatives from other leading Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) projects, including Ann-Louise Andersen from the MAASive Project, Georgia Apostolou from the MaaSAI Project, and Michael Hertwig from the ACCURATE Project. Moderating this high-level discussion provided a valuable platform to introduce RAASCEMAN to other key stakeholders, firmly placing our initiative within the broader European ecosystem and opening the door for future collaborations.
